Everyone loves IKEA’s affordability, the endless maze, modern design, and complicated assembly instructions. OK, maybe not the assembly, but you don’t have to limit yourself to the big blue store to find furniture and decor that is affordable. There are plenty of other affordable stores that will help you mix up your style palette without emptying your bank account.

H&M HOME
My absolute favorite under the radar low-cost home décor shop is H&M Home. I can’t believe more people don’t know about this hidden gem! Not only does this shop have some of the chicest and highest quality items for a fraction of the price of its competitors, it also has a handy-dandy app that makes it way too easy (and fun) to scroll through and shop from.

This is always my go-to place for throw pillows and blankets. The quality of their linens for the price truly blows me away, and they have a large selection of environmentally conscious items that are made using recycled materials! Don’t miss out on this one, it’s my favorite secret to spill.

ALLMODERN
AllModern is one of Wayfair’s many brands, which means I’m a proud frequent buyer there. Wayfair as a whole is an awesome place to find pretty much anything you could ever need for your home online, and at every price point under the sun.

AllModern is the brand where they house all of their modern pieces. I love shopping for big pieces here like dressers, beds, and coffee tables. They have some of the best pieces at really great prices, and they are pretty much always running a sale. It’s not uncommon at all to score a beautiful area rug at 70% off its original price.

COST PLUS WORLD MARKET
Anyone who’s ever been inside a World Market will tell you it’s a dangerous place to be because you will want to buy way more than you intended to. They have such a beautiful selection of home décor items in-store and online, and their prices are equally as attractive.

I’ve found some of my all-time favorite textiles at World Market. Do yourself a favor and check out their rug selection, you’ll thank me later. Here’s another insider tip: if you find something you like in-store, ask to purchase the floor model. If they can sell you the floor model, they will usually do so for dirt cheap- I’m talking possibly 70-90% off its original price cheap! You’re welcome!

URBAN OUTFITTERS
We all know UO as a trusty spot to get jeans and funky tees, but did you know they have a vast selection of equally as awesome home décor? I’m not just talking posters, they have some of my favorite furniture pieces, too!

But since I mentioned posters, I’ll add that UO is also my go-to for wall art. They have an eclectic selection of prints in different sizes and with a variety of framing options that ensure there is a little something to please everyone.
TARGET
After years of struggling to find anything unique at Target, they have been killing it recently. Always affordable, Target’s home selection is expanding and impressing my socks off. With the introduction of brands like Opal House, Project 62, and Hearth & Hand, they’ve covered the three major décor styles: Bohemian, Mid-Century Modern, and Modern Farmhouse.

No shopping list would be complete without Amazon, but this isn’t just a token addition. Amazon has really stepped up their home selection game with the introduction of brands like Rivet, Stone & Beam, Now House by Jonathan Adler, and my new favorite section: Handmade.

Amazon’s own brands may be one reason they are on the list, but using my Prime shipping to get a new coffee table delivered the next day is the real deal. My favorite things to shop for here are bedding, vases, and picture frames. Hard to beat free shipping and thousands of choices!

ZARA HOME
Zara Home is like H&M Home’s big sister- more refined and slightly more expensive, but 100% worth investing in. I love Zara Home. They have a smaller selection of items than H&M Home, adding to their refined and specially curated design aesthetic.

The prices are slightly higher than other stores on this list, but still far less than many other higher-end brands. The quality of Zara’s pieces rival those of higher-end brands. I love their linens, which are high-quality Italian linens that will truly last. If you want to add some European charm to your home, this is the store for you!

HAYNEEDLE
Like Wayfair, Hayneedle is a one-stop-shop for all things home related. They were recently acquired by Walmart, and its prices reflect Walmart’s commitment to affordability.

If you are lucky enough to have a balcony or outdoor space, I’ve found Hayneedle to be especially useful in purchasing outdoor furniture. I’ve found some really unique outdoor pieces on their site for incredible prices. They also have an app, making shopping a breeze.

Not only are you guaranteed to find one of a kind pieces on Etsy, but you’re also supporting small businesses, which is a major win in my book. And on top of that, if you purchase vintage, you’re reusing and doing the environment a huge favor- so thank you!
Etsy – Stay Awhile Sign Etsy – Set of 3 Desert Joshua Tree Modern Prints
I love looking on Etsy for art, small furniture pieces like ottomans and lighting, and shelf decorations. Some of the most unique and personable decor I have found has been on Etsy. You can find something under any price point, and when you purchase from an Etsy store, you’re dealing directly with the maker. On some items, you can negotiate prices or have your decor customized, you won’t find that in the IKEA warehouse.
